Kubin - Border Serbia/Romania - Cozla

Description

Today it was very windy so I made only slow progress. After the border in Romania I had first to climb a hill, where I first ate a muesli on top to avoid dehydration until the next supermarket, because I had lost my water bottle on the way. Here I also met the next two cycling tourists. Afterwards, the path continued again directly at the bank of the Danube and the landscape changed greatly. The swampland became a real river again, the Iron Gate Reservoir, and with the swamp the mosquitoes also disappeared. In the reservoir area it was difficult to find a good place to sleep, as everything was occupied by fishermen and there were not many spots with the escarpment left and the river directly right of the road. So I slept directly by the water again, where I could watch the flashing glowworms at night.
